At Anglicare Victoria our focus is on transforming the futures of children and young people, families and adults. Our work is based on three guiding pillars, Prevent, Protect, and Empower. We offer a comprehensive network of high quality services that seek to bring about significant improvements in the life experiences of the young people, children and communities with whom we work.
Based on the understanding that together we have a shared responsibility to care for people in need, our Parish Partnerships team works with Anglican parishes and communities across metropolitan and regional Victoria to develop and deliver a broad range of program supporting local community needs. Our large team of employees and volunteers offer emergency relief and food programs, material aid services, financial counselling and homeless support services together and a range of youth engagement programs and activities.
In this role you will work as part of our homeless support team at the Lazarus Centre Breakfast Program at St Peters Eastern Hill. You will be part of a small team of employees and volunteers that provide meals and daily support to a large number of people that experience primary and secondary homelessness. Our program runs from 7am until 10am, 7 days a week. This is a part-time role, Monday to Friday. Five additional hours are also available on a Monday or Friday at the Homeless Support Team's other location, St Mark's Community Centre, where we run a drop-in service.
What our people say- “AV is an organisation where if you want to challenge yourself or explore opportunities, you don’t have to leave to do that. There are so many great people, programs and services, so it’s an organisation where you have great conditions for growth and development”.
