Your role:

Anglicare Victoria's Gambler's Help program aims to:

Gambler’s Help Therapeutic Counselling aims to minimise the personal, health and social harms for individuals experiencing gambling related harm. This is achieved through the provision of evidence based therapeutic counselling interventions across a range of modalities and practice settings appropriate to individual needs. 

How do we assess your application:

  • A relevant tertiary qualification at Degree level in Social Work, Psychology, Mental Health and/or related behavioural sciences. 
  • Eligibility for membership with one of the following professional bodies:
    • Provisional registration with Psychology Board of Australia; or
    • Full, graduate or Accredited Mental Health Social Worker (AMHSW) membership with the Australian Association of Social Workers; or
    • Membership with Psychotherapy and Counselling Federation of Australia (PACFA) in the family/relationship therapy or general counselling/psychotherapy sections.
  • Full Victorian Drivers Licence.
  • Demonstrated experience in the provision of individual, couple, family and group counselling designed to address addiction behaviours and its impact or in another related field that is transferable. 

What you should know:

  • Salary is in line with Level 6 SCHADS
  • This is around $102,000 plus super pro rata (soon to increase by 3.75%)
  • Negotiable through the increments dependent upon experience.
  • Office location is: Bendigo.
  • Fixed term contract to 13th February 2025 with the possibility the role will be extended.
