The Child and Family Contact Service supports children and young people in the care of the Chief Executive Officer of Territory Families to have meaningful and quality contact with their parents and family. Families are supported to develop parenting skills and a safe environment that will help facilitate the return of children and young people into their care. Where reunification is not possible, children and families are provided with contact opportunities that enhance connection to culture, family and community.
As the Child & Family Support Worker you will facilitate supervised access sessions, empowering families to strengthen their bonds with their children or young people. You'll work directly with parents, enhancing their ability to engage effectively with their children and boost their parenting skills. Your efforts will be crucial in ensuring that each child's safety and wellbeing needs are met, transforming family dynamics and fostering healthier, happier relationships.
NOTE: This is an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander identified role and is open to all people to demonstrate cultural competency.
