About the Opportunity

Anglicare NT are looking for an Executive Assistant and Company Secretary to provide professional administrative and executive support to the CEO.

You will provide high level executive assistance to the CEO and fulfil the function of Company Secretary. You will support the Board, its Sub-Committees, and the CEO to maintain a robust system of governance, accountability and compliance with governance and key personnel obligations under the Australian Charities and Not for Profits Commission (ACNC) Act, the Corporations Act 2001, and other applicable legislation and regulatory systems. The position plays a critical role in supporting the effectiveness of the Board, its Sub-Committees, and the Office of the CEO.

Note: This is 12-month maternity leave cover position commencing May 2024.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Executive & Personal Assistance to the CEO
  • Coordinating Governance Meetings & Minutes
  • Overseeing Compliance
  • Governance Administration

To be successful

  • Four (4) years’ full time work experience providing high level executive assistance to a CEO / Executive.
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher qualification in a field of study complimentary to the position desirable.
  • A minimum of (3) years relevant experience providing Governance level secretarial support and / or a minimum of (3) years relevant experience in Governance level training.
  • High level administrative skills and technical aptitude including advanced Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, database administration), minimum 55 – 75 wpm touch typing speed with 98% accuracy, use of ICT equipment and video conferencing, as well as essential executive support skills of diary, travel and project management.
