About the Opportunity

The Microfinance worker NILS works closely with people earning a low income, establishing positive saving habits and developing their financial literacy skills. You will assist clients with NILS applications, conduct interviews, monitor loan repayments, and refer participants to support services. You will work closely with other Anglicare NT services to implement community engagement strategies that build local community awareness of the NILS program and develop and maintain an effective referral network of community groups and relevant organisations, promoting NILS to ensure they remain well informed of the NILS program.

What we are looking for:

  • Ability to promote the program, recruit participants, and deliver engaging information sessions.
  • Ability to maintain comprehensive client documentation and ensure data accuracy.
  • Proficiency in data entry and management, as well as familiarity with relevant software and databases
  • Willingness to work collaboratively with the Financial Inclusion team and other stakeholders
  • Understanding of Federal, NT, and Local Government legislation, regulations, and compliance requirements.
