Salary: $34,641 per annum, pro rata salary, 2 days per week plus 16.5% superannuation

Employment type: Permanent part time

  • Work Thursdays and Fridays regularly, with opportunities to flex up to additional days from time to time.
  • Paid Christmas closedown week and additional leave provisions, accruing on a pro rata basis.

About the ANMF Receptionist position

As the first point of contact and face of the ANMF (Vic Branch) the Receptionist ensures a professional and welcoming experience for all ANMF members and visitors. The role provides a number of member-oriented outcomes, triaging member contact, liaising with ANMF staff and coordinating time critical information.

About you

  • You’re a professional who is skilled with providing an empathetic and proactive style of customer service.
  • You’re an experienced Receptionist, able to manage varying tasks simultaneously, whilst providing committed service.
  • You enjoy working both in a team and independently and can work effectively within established processes and procedures.
  • You have a positive, can-do attitude, can problem solve quickly, and are committed to providing ANMF staff and members with professional and efficient outcomes to their calls, visits and queries.
  • You’re keen to learn about the ANMF and participate and contribute to unique and exciting ANMF events and campaigns
  • You enjoy setting a high standard through your work and can commit to regular Thursday and Friday office hours, with an ability to occasionally support with additional days where needed by the Branch for reception duty cover.

As the Receptionist you will manage a busy front desk, while also:

  • Providing sharp and focused front desk support to ANMF members, staff and visitors.
  • Receive and handle incoming phone calls in a professional, empathetic and patient manner. For some of our members, they may be calling on the toughest day of their career.
  • Coordinate and proactively greet ANMF visitors, members, couriers, contractors and ANMF Staff, whilst relaying efficient and prompt communication
  • Ensure accuracy when maintaining comprehensive records and issuing documentation across a range of relevant databases
  • Produce efficient, professional written and verbal communication whilst ensuring accurate calendar management and processing of messages for internal stakeholders.

Key selection criteria

  • Previous experience with providing high level administrative support to an organisation in a Receptionist role.
  • Demonstrated experience in dealing with customers, stakeholders or members in a professional, proactive and responsive way.
  • Demonstrated ability to take initiative and willingness to take on new challenges and solve problems.
  • Demonstrated experience with CISCO operating system or similar.
  • Confident using and learning new systems; you are skilled in Microsoft office suit products and advance outlook calendar administration.
