The role is a permanent part-time role with 22.50hours over 3 days per week to start.

The Perfect Person for this role will be:

  • A Go getter with a great work ethic and attitude that can think outside the box and use their initiative
  • Experience with building relations with employers, people, and have a great phone manner
  • Big on communication, take on feedback well and is an ideas' person able to help our people achieve their goals
  • Reliable and consistent with a mindset of empowering and not enabling our participants
  • Willing to travel from time to time outside 40 minutes to assist the team
  • Familiar or experienced with KPI’s and objectives
  • Able to work their way around an excel spreadsheet and learn new systems quickly

ROLE:

Working with Participants to find employment and develop their ‘Job Ready’ skills:

  • Communication
  • Time management
  • Discovery activities
  • Travel - using public transport
  • Resume and Cover letter creation
  • Cold Canvassing of employers
  • Community and Employer Engagement
  • Organising work experience and paid employment opportunities for our participants
  • In work support (some participants require 8 or more hours of support per week within the workplace)

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

  • Adaptability and Versatility. No two days are the same. One day you may be assisting our participants with handing out resumes within the community and the next day, you may be following up on leads.
  • Tenacity and Outcomes focused- our role is to assist our participants in finding and keeping a job. As employment mentors, we leave no stone unturned in order to create these opportunities.
  • Previous experience in Disability Employment Services or Job Active contracts is desired, but not essential.
  • A background in employment services, mentoring or management would be advantageous.
  • Experience in sourcing employment opportunities; including cold canvassing
  • Experience working with Youth and PWD is desired.

  • Working with Children's Check
  • NDIS Workers Card
  • Current Police Check
  • Valid Qld Driver's License
  • Vehicle - Insured
