Rainbow Health Australia is a program run by the Australian Research Centre in Sex, Health and Society at La Trobe University, designed to encourage lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, intersex, and queer (LGBTIQ+) health and well-being through research, knowledge translation, training, resources, policy advice, and service accreditation via the Rainbow Tick. We deliver evidence-based and engaging learning experiences that draw on research, LGBTIQ+ people's lived experiences, and inclusive practice principles in order to aid individuals and organisations in becoming more LGBTIQ+ inclusive.
The role's primary responsibility will be to develop and provide training for health and human services to support their ability to meet the needs of LGBTIQ+ service users, volunteers, and staff, including HOW2 training that assists organisations in gaining Rainbow Tick accreditation. Duties will also involve representing RHA at significant events, developing resources, and handling routine administration tasks such as emails, newsletters, and the website.
We welcome and strongly encourage applications from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.
La Trobe University is committed to creating a diverse and inclusive workforce. We take an intersectional approach by actively supporting and encouraging people of all backgrounds and abilities to submit an application and aim to ensure that the recruitment and employee experience is as accessible and inclusive as possible.
