Senior Product Manager

Arney Recruitment

In Brief:

This not-for-profit is a house-hold name that makes an immeasurable difference to Australian's facing their darkest moments. They're looking for a Senior Digital Product Manager who can help them create a seamless digital experience for their customers across all of their channels.

About the role:

This is a crucial role, where success will involve transforming what have been disparate products and experiences into a single journey that empowers our help seekers to find what they need, when and where they need it.

This role will focus primarily on the ‘help-seeker experience’ – the end-to-end journey of help-seeking within a range of applications. The applications include a high traffic website with a focus on self-help and wellbeing as well as voice and live chat. Working closely with the clinical team, this role has a focus on aligning service delivery with product experiences to ensure consistency, transparency and efficacy for help seekers.

Some key responsibilities might include:

  • Deeply understanding and advocating for the needs of the customer
  • Championing and facilitating user research sessions and workshops in collaboration with the Design team
  • Understanding, interpreting and synthesising qualitative and quantitative data inputs to inform product roadmaps and strategy
  • Lead on the delivery of digital product projects through all phases of a product’s lifecycle
  • Developing and communicating a clear product vision and strategy that aligns with the company’s strategic goals
  • Working with technology teams to define user stories, test their implementation, and sign-off their release
  • Providing leadership and guidance on product management practices including backlogs, roadmaps and showcases
  • Making informed decisions to prioritise and execute work that most efficiently realises need and balances competing objectives

About you:

With a strong understanding of product management, you'll have a good handle on how to define problems and iterate through solutions through the product lifecycle - from MVP through to shipping new apps. You’ll take a pragmatic approach to prioritisation and where compromise is needed, have a keen understanding of how to best manage a backlog and be delivery leaning.

Technically astute, you'll be able to communicate the problem effectively to all stakeholders and bring them on the journey.

Requirements:

  • Strong understanding of product management principles and best practices
  • A track record of shipping new features, prototypes and products
  • An ability to prioritise and execute work that adds most value to the customer
  • A background establishing and maintaining product roadmaps
  • Experience with Jira, Trello, Notion, Slack and Agile processes highly regarded
  • Outstanding communication and organisation skills
  • This is an outstanding opportunity to join a digital product team building apps that really help people.
  • Being comfortable working within the mental health sector (with a lot of internal support and assistance)

This is a great opportunity to work on a range of high traffic, innovative web applications that help a diverse customer base of people everyday.
