Australian Regional and Remote Community Services (ARRCS) is a not-for-profit aged care and community service provider that was established in July 2014 to operate residential care facilities and community care programs in the Northern Territory. ARRCS provides regional care and support to people and their communities throughout the Northern Territory from Darwin to Docker River. It’s our goal to offer opportunity and choice so individuals can live life in all its fullness.
First Nations Liaison Officer’s provide emotional, social and cultural support to First Nations aged care residents and their families when they use ARRCS programs and services within our Tennant Creek region. We now have a full time opportunity for a First Nations Liaison Officers to join our team in Tennant Creek. This is a First Nations Identified Position.
The First Nations Liaison Officer reports to the Regional Indigenous Program Manager and partners with Service Managers and other ARRCS Staff within the Tennant Creek Aged Care Facility. Liaising with family members and making them feel welcome to the facility and getting the connection with our new First Nations Residents. Ensuring Care Staff have connection to family and understand the cultural needs of bringing country cultural needs into the facility in a “Walking in two worlds” approach.
Due to the nature of this position you must have;
ARRCS is the largest Aged Care Provider in the NT - your career can take you all over the NT including Darwin, Alice Springs, and Katherine or if you relocate interstate ARRCS are a pathway to Uniting Care QLD
