About Children's Services:

Children's Services at Aruma have opportunities to support young people aged between 5 and 17 years living in residential out of home care with us who have experienced trauma and have a disability. If you thrive on variety then we want to hear from you!

About the Role:

The Children's Service and Engagement Coordinator (CSEC) is responsible for supporting service compliance with National and State funding and legislative requirements. The CSEC will provide direct guidance to teams and support understanding and implementation of National Child Safe Principles, State Child Protection Standards and NDIS Quality and Safeguarding Framework.

Must haves…

  • Thorough practical working knowledge of:
    • Human rights based approach
    • Person-centred approach
    • Children's' Non-Family-Based Out-of-Home Care
    • Child Protection & Child Safe Principles and NDIS Framework
    • Legislative requirements relevant to the role
  • Diploma of Child, Youth and Family Intervention or equivalent
  • Experience leading/supervising staff in Community Services
  • Strong coordination, leadership and peer support skills.
  • High level communication, influencing, liaison and negotiation skills.
  • Strong project administrative skills; time management, coordination of tasks, efficient work practices
  • Excellent computer literacy and confidence and capability in using systems and technology
  • Obtain and maintain Licensed Care Service Check (QLD only)
  • Obtain and maintain NDIS Worker Screening Check
  • Obtain and maintain relevant state Working with Children Check
  • Obtain and maintain First Aid and CPR certificate
  • Complete Hope and Healing Modules (QLD)
  • Obtain and maintain all relevant vaccinations (including COVID-19 for new employees)
  • Current Australian Class 1 Drivers Licence
