About The Role

The Commercial Coordinator plays a vital role in providing comprehensive support and management of contracts for ASRC Cleaning's commercial customer base, which accounts for 70% of the company’s annual revenue. This position focuses on retaining and expanding relationships with existing commercial clients, onboarding new customers, and supporting the acquisition of future contracts through inquiries, partnerships, and social procurement opportunities. Strong financial acumen and expertise in managing commercial contracts and income accrual are essential. The Commercial Coordinator will also collaborate with the Admin team to ensure staffing needs are met and work with key stakeholders to ensure training, onboarding, and quality control processes are effectively implemented. This is a permanent part-time role at 0.8 FTE. Required 9am to 5:30pm work hours, with shared on-call responsibilities early morning and evening.

About You

The successful candidate will bring to the position a strong knowledge of and experience providing accurate and timely processing of end-to-end coordination the overall ASRC Cleaning Business. You will play a key role in increasing the ASRC Cleaning enterprise’s social and financial return. In addition, the role will be responsible for undertaking the following duties:

  • Demonstrated strong business development skills, identifying areas and opportunities to grow client base and revenue streams.
  • Financial acumen, including contract quoting, debt control and payment management.
  • Experience in contract negotiations and tender processes
  • Demonstrated ability to work with individuals from diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds
  • Strong communication and cross-cultural communication skills.
  • Experience in building, managing and working within effective teams, including in the provision of rostering, scheduling and team management.
  • Building capacity of staff through effective training and development.
  • Experience in stakeholder development and relationship management, including business to business and business to consumer engagement strategies.
  • Strong aptitude for customer care and the retention of customer loyalty.

Lived experience of seeking asylum in Australia is highly desirable. Knowledge of policy and issues impacting on people seeking asylum in Australia as well as previous experience working within a not-for-profit environment, would also be advantageous.
