About the role

The Electrical Maintenance Volunteer works alongside the Operations & Property Manager at ASRC Footscray to assist with the everyday electrical maintenance and operations of the centre.

Program: Office Management

The Office Management team helps sustain the ASRC as a whole and improve the operational capacity of the centre. This program is responsible for operations and facilities management which are all integral to the everyday running of the ASRC.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install and repair electrical systems within designated facilities.
  • Design, assemble and test electrical networks, systems, circuits, equipment, and components.
  • Commission and diagnose electrical systems to ensure optimal functionality.
  • Maintain and repair electrical appliances and facilities as required.
  • Provide support in diagnosing and troubleshooting electrical issues.
  • Collaborate with the maintenance team to ensure efficient operations.
  • Perform any other related tasks within the scope of the role.

Volunteer shifts

This role is looking for a commitment of 1 or 2 shifts per week for up to 6-12 months. Shifts available Monday - Friday, 10am to 3pm.

  • Lifting items between 5-12 kgs

  • Volunteer Agreement
  • Police Check
  • Working with Children Check
  • On-site training
  • Program Specific Training
