We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Project Coordinator to join our team and make a significant impact on science education across Australia. As the Project Coordinator - Science ASSIST, you will play a key role in ensuring science educators have what they need to deliver practical inspiring and safe learning activities.

We provide leadership and promote excellence in science education. With a 70 year rich and deep history of supporting science teachers across Australia, we are the national body bringing together a federation of state science teachers associations who support science educators through the provision of teacher professional learning, providing a bridge between real world science and the classroom, and operating as a collective voice for science teachers.

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are currently seeking a highly motivated Project Coordinator to join our dynamic team on a permanent part-time basis. This role, with a 0.2FTE (equivalent of 1 day a week) commitment, presents a fantastic opportunity for someone with strong project coordination skills to contribute to our mission of making a positive impact.

This position will play a crucial role in supporting the Federation and science teachers nationally, working remotely, you will coordinate the effective delivery of Science ASSIST - a comprehensive, national online advisory service that provides safety information and support for school science educators and technicians.

You will report to and work closely with the Project Manager to ensure the ongoing growth and sustainability of this essential service and you will be connected with a supportive team of technical Advisors and a nationwide community of science educators.
