The Australian Services Union (ASU) is one of the largest unions in Australia and represents workers in local government, energy, disability, community services, finance, call centres, airlines, legal and private sector administration.

We’re looking for an experienced digital campaigner, content creator and communications specialist.

This newly created position will play a critical role in delivering the ASU’s industrial, political and issues-based campaigns.

If you are a strong all-rounder, who is highly skilled in graphic design, video production, written copy and campaign messaging, and you have experience managing digital platforms – then we want to hear from you!

The successful applicant will be able to -

  • Create and implement digital campaign strategies.
  • Develop compelling campaign messages and materials.
  • Communicate effectively and influence diverse audiences.
  • Create high quality and engaging written copy.
  • Produce engaging digital content creation that aligns with the ASU brand and members’ interests.
  • Manage the union’s social media channels, digital marketing, member emails, websites, content management systems, and other digital tools.
  • Optimise audience engagement across all platforms, analyse data and produce reports.
  • Produce videos to be used online, during workplace visits and at inductions.
  • Manage projects and meet deadlines.

  • Communicate with colleagues, members and potential members in a professional, friendly manner

Conditions

  • Full time, 35 hours a week (flexible, will consider part time).
  • Fixed term 12 month contract (due to secondment).
  • Will consider working from home arrangements.
  • Based in Adelaide, South Australia.
  • Competitive Salary.
  • Up to 16% employer Superannuation contribution (with salary sacrifice contribution).
  • 12 RDOs per year.
  • 4 weeks annual leave per year.
  • 17.5% leave loading.
  • 3 Grace days over Christmas / New Years.
