• Fixed Full time for 2 years

An opportunity is available for an Obstetrics Rural Generalist trainee for a 24month period - Darwin and Palmerston Hospital first 12-15 months then Gove District Hospital for remaining 12-9 months providing medical services.

• Medical Officer (Base Salary $118,703 - $154,682) + allowances
• Attraction Allowance $43,206 per annum
• Retention Allowance - $43,206 base rate per annum (on completion of one year of service)• Perishable Allowance - $1,497 per annum
• Professional Development Allowance – $10,803 - $14,404 (dependent on classification)
• 5 – 10 Professional Development Leave days
• Revenue Activity Incentive Payments – Medicare Billings 50% of billings up to $80,000 per annum (paid at least quarterly)
• The package also includes fully subsidised furnished housing.
• 2 FOILS/year for you and your dependents; airfares to Darwin (or equivalent) + 2 days of leave each time.
• Includes 6 weeks per annum of recreational leave.
• Relocation for vehicle, personal effects and airfares for you and your dependents, calculated on your length of contract.
• As a MMM7 you can also attract WIP payments at the maximum rate

Gove District Hospital, located in Nhulunbuy on the Gove peninsula, is a regional 30 bed hospital providing medical, surgical, paediatric, respite and maternity services and offer a broad range of primary and secondary health care services and is run by a Rural Generalist model of care.
