About the role

As an Advice Services Officer, excellent customer service is central to everything you do. As the first point of contact for phone and written enquiries, you will support charities to meet their obligations and help the public to better understand the charitable sector. 

You will operate in a fast-paced, partially scheduled environment within a supportive, flexible and friendly team. 

Your duties

  • Interpret and explain complex information such as rules or legislation
  • Improve the data integrity of the ACNC Charity Register
  • Assist charities to meet their obligations through education and guidance
  • Participate in training and development activities
  • Respond to a variety of enquiries about charity law and ACNC policies

Skills and experience

  • Understands the issues facing the charity or not-for-profit sector
  • Experience in providing personalised customer service
  • Sound interpretation, analytical, communication and problem-solving skills
  • Collaborate and manage competing priorities
