What We Offer

  • 1 x Part Time position (0.4FTE, based on 35hpw above award conditions), Fixed term contract

What you will be doing

  • Support volunteer visitors, including onboarding, training and record keeping
  • Implement volunteer recruitment/retention strategies
  • Match volunteers to older people, considering culture, language, interests etc.
  • Liaise with residential care and home care in-charges or coordinators to organise volunteer visits
  • Administrative tasks, documentation and reporting related to delivery of Aged Care Volunteer Visitor Scheme (ACVVS)

Essential Selection Criteria

  • Cert IV or higher in Volunteer Management, Coordination of Volunteer Programs, or a similar discipline
  • Minimum 1-year (Diploma) or 2-year (Certificate) experience in volunteer management with a NFP
  • Sound organisational, planning and time management skills to meet KPIs
  • Ability to establish, maintain and strengthen effective working relationships with all stakeholders
  • High interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, including a professional telephone manner
  • Intermediate computer literacy and ability to use Microsoft Office and SharePoint
  • Demonstrated ability to work autonomously as well as in a team
  • Full NSW Driver’s license and a reliable fully insured vehicle
  • Current Working with Children Check and National Police Check Clearances (Paid Worker)
  • Current NDIS Worker Check (NDISWC) Clearance
  • Certificate of COVID-19 vaccination including the booster (3 in total) and up-to-date flu vaccination

Desirable Selection Criteria

  • Ability to speak a second community language other than English
  • Current First Aid Certificate
  • Experience working in a culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) environment
