About the Role

The HIPPY (Home Interaction Program for Parents and Youngsters) Home Tutor assists families to promote their children’s learning and development, whilst working with parents to enhance their skills, knowledge and interaction with schools and community. You will innovate and support contributions to place-based operational goals in the Moreton Bay region and facilitate the program with families and their four/five year-olds over a two year period with the main aim of supporting parents to improve children’s school readiness.

What you will bring:

• You must be a current or past parent within the last 2 years of the HIPPY Program
• Availability to work around 20 hours per week during the school term
• Willingness to participate in community events 
• Sound communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills 
• Basic literacy in English including reading and writing
• Highly developed organisational and time management skills
• A current, employee Working with Children Check 
• A current Australian Driver’s Licence and a reliable fully insured vehicle
