Australian Red Cross is part of the world’s largest humanitarian movement. We support and empower people and communities in times of vulnerability. We act for humanity.
Red Cross has been responding to emergencies and providing humanitarian assistance in Australia since 1914. We are committed to strengthening and extending our emergency services to assist all Australians to prepare for, respond to and recover from emergencies.
Red Cross has been asked by the South Australian Government for assistance to support the distribution of Rapid Antigen Tests to the SA public, at Rapid Antigen Test Pick Up Points within South Australia. This request has been made of Red Cross as an auxiliary to government and participating organisation under the State Emergency Management Plan.
As part of your application, you’ll be able to provide up to 4 location preferences across metropolitan and regional areas of South Australia. This will help us to prioritise your preferences and rapidly respond to any additional sites we may be asked to support in the future.
We welcome applications for these roles from members of the public over the age of 18. Red Cross volunteers are also strongly encouraged to apply.
These roles will coordinate the effective and efficient distribution of Rapid Antigen Tests to eligible persons and in accordance with identified distribution and health and safety procedures, at a Rapid Antigen Test Pick Up Point. This means working with onsite team members and directly engaging with members of the public.
Planning has been undertaken to assess and mitigate the potential risks associated with these roles. Before applying, it’s important you have closely considered your own personal risk factors associated with the performance of the requirements of these roles.
We have a range of measures in place to protect Red Cross people and the communities we work with, and we encourage all of our employees to be vaccinated against Covid-19.
Please ensure that you are able to comply with the government requirements specific to this role (see role requirements above) prior to application.
This role presents an opportunity to make a difference and support South Australian Communities in response to COVID-19.
