About the role

The role of the Senior Manager - Community Programs will encompass strategic and operational oversight of the Place-Based operations within SA and Community Programs, and strategic oversight of our Transport Operations including Red Cross’ metropolitan and regional presence.

Place based Programs, namely Ceduna Community Hub and Tiraapendi Wodli in Port Adelaide will require a level of strategic guidance within the scope of our First Nations leadership framework, with a need to negotiate the local and programmatic requirements alongside the internal Red Cross strategic alignment.

As a Senior Manager, you will also be responsible for strategic oversight of the metropolitan and regional Transport program across the State and oversee the strategy and operations of the Police Callouts Program in Adelaide and the Youth Development Hub in Port Lincoln. These programs and sites require leadership of teams on the ground, program direction and stakeholder management, contract management and regional office leadership, which includes property, WHS, risk management and community relationships.

About you

• Demonstrated ability to use a data driven approach to monitor performance, identify issues, and develop and implement corrective actions
• Demonstrated understanding of key drivers of success within teams to enable achievement of organisational goals
• Ability to think and plan goals in the long term as well as in the present
• Ability to operate under limited direction from senior employees and work with and lead teams and people from diverse backgrounds and create a collaborative working environment
• Experience and deep understanding of aged and community care sector
• Demonstrated knowledge and experience in providing programs to consumers from diverse backgrounds and cultures, including (but not limited to) First Nations, CALD and LGBTIQ+
• Working with Children Check and Driver Licence are required for this role
