About the Program

The Centre for Excellence in Therapeutic Care (CETC) is at the forefront of harnessing knowledge that shapes the care provided to children and young people in out-of-home care and youth justice settings. About the Role

The Learning Experience Designer will assist with shaping the digital learning landscape for ACF. The position will form a part of the broader virtual team that will be responsible for spearheading the development of various digital learning courses, programs, tools, and products aimed at improving outcomes for children and young people, their carers, families, and significant others.

The successful applicant will work as part of a production team lead by the Senior Manager Digital Experience and Learning Design, while collaborating closely with external videographers and various stakeholders, including subject matter experts, to create innovative digital learning and practice tools using state of the art technologies.

This position is a hybrid role, with time in the Abbotsford office required regularly for meetings and joint work.

About You / Key Selection Criteria

  • Strong understanding of adult learning principles and contemporary learning experiences.
  • Experience developing online learning products.
  • Excellent time and task management skills with impeccable attention to detail and planning skills.
  • Customer focused to ensure needs are achieved.
  • Outcome driven, ensuring projects are completed to a high standard.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills including the ability to develop and present project reports as required.
  • Strong instructional design knowledge.
  • Strong storyboarding skills.
  • Experience in using branding guidelines and templates to ensure products meet organisation requirements.
  • Ability to design, develop, and deliver on projects in a timely manner.
  • Experience in working with a range of eLearning authoring tools and software packages and LMS platforms.
  • Diploma of Training Design & Development, Graphic Design or equivalent.
  • Demonstrated experience in the end-to-end management of eLearning development.
  • Demonstrated computer literacy skills.
  • Sound analytical and creative problem-solving skills.
  • Excel in the planning and prioritising of critical project tasks.
  • Personal values aligned with the organisation's values.
  • Current Australian driver's license and Working with Children Check or equivalent.
