The Australian Childhood Foundation is renowned for its evidence-based therapeutic services, professional training, and secondary consultation. Their approach is grounded in the latest research on trauma, attachment, relational theories, and child development, including the neurobiology of trauma. The Foundation is also dedicated to ensuring that all of its services are culturally sensitive and appropriate. This theoretical framework forms the basis for all aspects of care and intervention provided by the Foundation's therapeutic services, when supporting the needs of children, young people, their families and/or carers.
As part of the Foundations commitment to providing trauma-sensitive and culturally appropriate services to children and families, the Australian Childhood Foundation is seeking a Senior Clinician to join their team in Alice Springs and surrounding areas. This role will work alongside other Senior Clinicians/Counsellors to expand the organisation's counselling and therapeutic services for children and young people.
By utilising trauma-informed approaches, the Senior Clinician will play a crucial role in supporting the well-being of vulnerable individuals and families in the community. This is an exciting and diverse role which includes intake and triage, conducting assessments, providing counselling to children and young people, providing support to parents and carers, and facilitating parenting groups.
