About the Role:

The Senior Manager - Practice Leadership and Development, holds a pivotal position within the CETC's senior leadership team, contributing significantly to the achievement of its strategic goals. Leading a virtual team of subject matter experts in out-of-home care and youth justice, this role oversees the development and delivery of CETC activities, including accredited and unaccredited training, community of practice facilitation, practice guide and resource development, and knowledge translation. With a profound understanding of challenges faced by children and young people in these sectors, the role requires robust project management and consultancy skills to devise and implement effective strategies. A key aspect involves cultivating and sustaining strategic relationships with sector and government partners, driving projects and consultancies aimed at enhancing outcomes for children and young people.

About You/Key Selection Criteria:

  • Minimum 8+ experience in leading teams/programs in the social and community sector.
  • Experience in successfully working with internal and external subject matter experts to produce relevant and engaging digital and blended training packages.
  • Demonstrated experience in project management and capacity to flexibly manage a range of projects/initiatives.
  • High level written and verbal communication skills and capacity to write for a range of audiences.
  • Knowledge of children's rights.
  • Knowledge of instruction design and how to use Learning Management Systems.
  • Experience with Excel and reporting processes.
  • Proven experience with developing internal and external partnerships.
  • Demonstrated awareness of out of home care and/or youth justice.
  • Demonstrated ability to work flexibly and responsively in a dynamic environment.
  • A current Australian driver's license or equivalent.
  • A current Working with Children Check or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of child welfare/protection policy and relevant legislation.
  • Direct experience in working in a statutory child protection or out of home care setting.
  • Understanding of child advocacy and related areas.
  • Capacity to work creatively and independently.
  • A well-developed ability to assist others to understand the implications of Trauma and Attachment theories and their relationship to experiences of abuse, neglect and family violence.
  • Personal values consistent with the values of the organisation.
