The Australian Childhood Foundation (ACF) is a respected leader in developing and providing high-quality learning opportunities and pioneering innovative tools. As a Registered Training Organisation, ACF excels in delivering a diverse array of blended learning methods, offering accredited and unaccredited training programs, including online, self-paced courses, webinars, virtual classrooms, train-the-trainer sessions, and customised in-person training, all aimed at supporting the well-being of children, young people, and their families.
Integral to ACF, the Centre for Excellence in Therapeutic Care (CETC) is at the forefront of harnessing knowledge that shapes the care provided to children and young people in out-of-home care and youth justice settings. At ACF, we are committed to bridging the gap between theory, practical wisdom, and lived experience, ensuring that our learning and training resonate with the real-world challenges faced by practitioners, carers, and the individuals they support. Our audience spans across various sectors, including child and family welfare, youth justice, family violence, education, and health. Across both CETC and ACF's professional education programs, we employ contemporary learning solutions to empower professionals and carers in delivering high-quality care and support to children, young people, their families, and significant relationships.
The Senior Manager - Practice Leadership and Development, holds a pivotal position within the CETC's senior leadership team, contributing significantly to the achievement of its strategic goals. Leading a virtual team of subject matter experts in out-of-home care and youth justice, this role oversees the development and delivery of CETC activities, including accredited and unaccredited training, community of practice facilitation, practice guide and resource development, and knowledge translation. With a profound understanding of challenges faced by children and young people in these sectors, the role requires robust project management and consultancy skills to devise and implement effective strategies. A key aspect involves cultivating and sustaining strategic relationships with sector and government partners, driving projects and consultancies aimed at enhancing outcomes for children and young people.
