Join the team at the Australian Dental Council (ADC) and play a key role in supporting overseas qualified dental practitioners on their pathway to registration with the Dental Board of Australia. Reporting to the Manager, Candidate Experience, this position offers a dynamic split between administrative duties and candidate support. This is a 12 month fixed term parental leave cover position.

As the first point of contact for candidate enquiries, you'll provide exceptional customer service, ensuring candidates are well-informed throughout their journey. Your attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks will help maintain high-quality services across the ADC’s assessments process.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing accurate information and updates to candidates
  • Managing candidate and examiner amenities and reception
  • Supporting the smooth operation of administrative activities within the organisation

This role is perfect for someone with strong customer service skills, a focus on detail, and the ability to handle a fast-paced environment.

Desired Skills and Experience

  • Excellent customer service and reception skills
  • Ability to build and maintain friendly, professional and courteous relationships with all stakeholders
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills with proven ability to liaise with a wide range of individuals including those from non-English speaking background
  • Excellent organisational skills, including demonstrated attention to detail, and the ability to prioritise and meet deadlines
  • Proven ability to relate to and work collaboratively with staff at all levels
  • Proven ability to ensure compliance with protocols and rigorous maintenance of records
  • Proven data entry experience with a high degree of speed and accuracy
  • Ability to draft correspondence by email and use standard Microsoft Word templates from a client management database system
  • Highly developed interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
  • A highly motivated self-starter with a ‘can do’ attitude and proven ability to take initiative
  • High level computer skills, including Microsoft Office suite and Adobe PDF
