We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to manage the implementation of the Community Safety Project within Tasmania. The role will support building capacity of sporting clubs to support and nurture high-risk youth and develop strong partnerships between community sporting clubs and organisations working with high-risk youth. The role will lead the strategic engagement of stakeholders within the key sectors of state and local government, health and welfare and sport, ensuring stakeholder communications are timely and well-tailored and represent the ADF in a professional manner at external events. The role will also lead the planning and delivering of public forums related to the project.
The role supports the development and delivery of Community Action Plans, liaising with Planet Youth Iceland and country representatives from Planet Youth pilot sites in other countries and developing shared resources and content for pilot site LDATs that promotes the completion of relevant PY activities informed by the data for local communities.
Please note: Due to the location of communities and sporting clubs it is likely that frequent travel, driver’s licence, and a regular access to a vehicle will be required.

You will have experience in successfully delivering preventive health and community programs and products across a range of different community settings, demonstrating impeccable community and program development skills. You will have demonstrated experience in project management and stakeholder engagement. You will know how to leverage your deep understanding of the challenges facing at-risk young people and working within a strengths-based, trauma informed framework
