About the Role

The Fundraising Coordinator is responsible for coordinating the development and implementation of AMS’ fundraising strategy to maximise income from fundraising appeals, regular giving, and community events. This role will cultivate relationships with internal and external stakeholders, supporting the mission of AMS through effective fundraising initiatives.

Selection Criteria

Essential Qualifications, Skills and Experience

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in fundraising/marketing/communications or a related role.
  • Ability to identify and build relationships with current and potential supporters.
  • Ability to coordinate fundraising appeals.
  • Ability to write engaging copy for fundraising emails and website copy.
  • Excellent interpersonal and relationship building skills.
  • Proficiency in maintaining and analysing donor records.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Advanced computer skills including Microsoft Office.

Desirable Skills and Experience

  • Tertiary qualifications in relevant fields such as community development, communications/marketing, or fundraising.
  • Experience coordinating fundraising appeals.
  • Experience with donor stewardship and donor care.
  • Experience with CRM systems, ideally e-tapestry or similar.
  • Experience with fundraising websites, ideally Raisley or similar.
  • Event coordination.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Initiative, ability to meet deadlines, and maintain confidentiality.
  • Commitment to working within the ethos of the Catholic Church and the Marist charism.

Key Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the development of AMS’ fundraising strategy.
  • Coordinate fundraising activities including appeals, regular giving, bequests, and events.
  • Assist in the management of relationships with stakeholders and supporters.
  • Assist in the development of new fundraising initiatives.
  • Maintain records of fundraising activities in line with AMS policies.

Other Requirements

Australian Marist Solidarity has zero tolerance of abuse of those who are vulnerable and a strong commitment to their safeguarding.

Prior to commencing with AMS you will be required to undertake a National Criminal History Check and hold or be willing to obtain a Working with Children Check (Blue Card).

The successful candidate will may be required to occasionally travel domestically.
