Australian Wildlife Conservancy (AWC) is the largest private (non-profit) owner of land for conservation in Australia. We protect endangered wildlife at 30 locations which we own or manage in collaborative partnerships. AWC’s involvement covers a total of more than 6.5 million hectares in iconic regions such as the Kimberley, Cape York, the Top End and Kati Thanda-Lake Eyre. With a focus on practical land management, informed by world-class science, AWC is implementing a dynamic new model for conservation.
AWC’s mission - to deliver effective conservation for all native animal species and their habitats.
AWC has entered into an historic partnership, Relocation of Locally Extinct Mammals (RoLEM) with the NSW Government for the management of two State protected areas; Mallee Cliffs NP in southwestern NSW and the Pilliga State Conservation Area in north-central NSW. For these project AWC has committed to:
AWC is seeking a committed and enthusiastic leader to head up the Mallee Cliffs NP Operations team through the effective planning, coordination and delivery of land management services across the Mallee Cliffs NP area. The ideal candidate will be a very practical person with a passion for saving Australia’s wildlife and landscapes.

This role is based at Mildura with regular commuting to the Mallee Cliffs NP. This is a unique opportunity to join Australia’s largest non-government conservation organisation and help shape the future of private sector conservation in Australia.
