Are you seeking a broad and varied consultative Teacher role with outstanding development opportunities? If so, this may be the role for you!
In this role you will be able to utilise your special education or autism-related teaching experience and join an experienced team of allied health professionals and registered teachers primarily providing a combination of consultation and direct intervention services throughout Queensland to schools, families and other professionals as they support individuals with a diagnosis of ASD.
As Autism Queensland has moved into the landscape of the NDIS, this role may also provide intervention within AQ's centre-based early intervention group programs, as required.
This position is offered on permanent full-time basis, or part-time basis for the right candidate.
The position is based at Sunnybank Hills or Brighton but some flexibility will be required to travel occasionally between the two sites.
Due to current travel and social distancing restrictions, school visits are being provided online and remote working may be possible. Once restrictions are lifted, frequent intra-state travel will be a large component of this role, with travel of up to 5 days per trip approximately 3 to 4 times per quarter if working full-time hours.
