ABOUT YOUR ORGANISATION

AVBC is an Incorporated Association established to provide a forum for discussion, advice and corporation among the veterinary Boards in Australia and New Zealand to encourage the standardisation and quality assurance of veterinary services to the community. We assure and promote uniform educational standards through accreditation of veterinary schools, conducting the veterinary examination, assessment of veterinary qualifications for migration and assessment of specialist qualifications.

ABOUT THE ROLE

  • Time Fraction: Part Time, 2 days a week (15 Hours)
  • Location: modern Melbourne CBD office with our friendly team
  • Salary: $75,000, per annum pro rata

The current day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  • Accounts payable and receivable
  • Bookkeeping and record keeping
  • Completing and submitting statutory reports
  • Payroll processing, including superannuation
  • Month end reconciliations and reporting
  • Budget tracking
  • Assisting with the preparation of year end budget
  • Maintenance of the Asset register
  • Office administration
  • Process improvements
  • Assisting with the year end audit

Essential skills & Experience

  • Previous accounts/bookkeeping experience in a similar role, preferably using MYOB and/or Xero
  • A formal finance qualification
  • Advanced Microsoft Office Skills
  • Organisation and Time Management Skills
  • Relationship building and strong written and oral communication skills
  • Accuracy and strong attention to detail
  • Budgeting, analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Always looking for new (innovative) ways of doing things to streamline processes and procedures
  • Fun and positive energy
