About the assignment

We’re looking for a Health Information Mentor who can live and volunteer for 12 months in Fiji.

  • To be considered for this role, you’ll need qualifications in Health Information Management as well as significant experience in both hospital and government at department level. 
  • As a volunteer, you will support in advising best practice for the implementation of data quality standards to minimise errors and discrepancies.
  • You would provide support in capacity strengthening of local staff in all areas of health information management.

About the Partner Organisation 

The Ministry of Health (MOH) and Medical Services, based in Suva, has various health information systems that capture health data. There is a need to review, update and develop guidelines, standards and policies with regards to the health systems. Having these will ensure the team receives timely, reliable and complete health data and can produce quality health information for better decision making and resource allocation for the Ministry.

Allowance

We cover your flights, insurance, and provide a living and accommodation allowance. 
AUD$2516 per month.

Requirements

  • All applicants must be Australian citizens or holders of Permanent Residency Visa of Australia, or New Zealand residents in Australia with a Special Category Visa (SCV). 
  • A National Police Check must be completed during the application process.  
  • A Psychological Test is required for all volunteer assignments.  

A First Aid Certificate is required for this assignment.
