We’re looking for a Health Information (HIS) Support Officer who can live and volunteer in Tonga 12 months.
As a volunteer you will support the review of processes, outputs and data quality to ensure the strength of the project.
To be considered for this role you’ll need relevant tertiary, professional or technical qualifications in Health Information Management, Health Informatics, Public Health, Nursing, Medicine or Pharmacy.
You’ll be working alongside a team who are working towards having sustainable health care for all in Tonga.
The Ministry of Health (MoH), based in Tofoa, Tonga, works to support and improve the health of the nation by providing quality, effective and sustainable health services and being accountable for the health outcomes.
The MoH has undertaken a public health information digitisation project and is seeking a volunteer to support and mentor the staff from Ministry with this project.
The role will work closely with the MoH along with the Australian Partner Organisation Beyond Essential Systems, and would be ideally suited to a Health Information Manager or health practitioner with a strong public health background and a strong understanding of the latest in web technology concepts.
