Health Policy Strengthening & Development Officer (Voluntary) - Cambodia

Australian Volunteers Program

About the assignment

We’re looking for a Health Policy Strengthening & Development Officer who can volunteer in a hybrid role both remotely (online) and in-country for a total of 12 months.

  • This assignment seeks to implement the WHO Global Report for Health Equity for Persons with Disabilities and Disability Guide for Action in Cambodia.
  • To be considered for this role, you’ll need a Master of Public Health or related university degree in health policy, planning or management.
  • Provide technical support to the RGC in the transition of Physical Rehabilitation Services.

About the Partner Organisation

Humanity & Inclusion (HI) works in around sixty countries in emergency, reconstruction, chronic crisis, and development contexts. Since 1982, the organisation has been working alongside vulnerable populations, in particular people with disabilities.

Humanity & Inclusion (HI) leads in Global Health and equity, advocating for disability inclusion in healthcare with a human rights focus, echoing the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities and the Universal Health Coverage Political Declaration.

Due to the scarcity of local expertise, a skilled volunteer is required to play a crucial role in transforming Cambodia’s Rehabilitation Sector.
