Ramakrishna Mission is a world-wide spiritual and philanthropic organisation with 186 branches in major countries. Ramakrishna Mission runs the Vivekananda Technical Centre (VTC) in Nadi which was established in 1981. It is a technical education provider registered under the Fiji Higher Education Commission. VTC currently runs certificate programs on Production in Horticulture. It is predominately focused on farm competency based training and has 149 farmers. The mission does extensive relief services during natural disasters like cyclones and floods. In 2009, it started providing medical services and has been running a charitable medical centres since 2012. In March 2020 they added to its medical service a mobile medical out-reach service and assisted 6500+ patients. Ramakrishna Mission is seeking support from a remote volunteer to assist with the Production in Horticulture program and provide training to local instructors.
