About the Role

The senior solutions architect proactively and holistically leads and supports Enterprise Architecture activities that guide the development and management of a portfolio of solutions. Solutions include projects, systems (including applications, technologies, processes and information), shared infrastructure services and shared application services.

They understand the concepts of business goals, objectives and business outcomes, business capabilities, value-streams, and business processes and their importance in solution architecture. The solutions architect provides the necessary leadership, analysis and design tasks related to support the development of technology solutions to ensure that solutions meet business needs and align with architectural governance and standards. They create deliverables for managing the organization's portfolio of "to be" and "as is" solutions — including systems (applications, processes, information and technology), shared infrastructure services, and shared application services and components to enable and drive targeted business outcomes.

Key Duties

• Conduct research on emerging technologies in support of systems development efforts and recommend technologies that will increase cost effectiveness and systems flexibility. 
• Survey market landscape for solution insights, direction, vendors, and methods 
• Lead development of formalised solution methodologies and practices including the Architecture Governance framework 
• Build and maintain up to date architectural assets, repository for deliverables and methodologies. 
• Oversee implementation of end-to-end integrated solutions 
• Document and maintain the organisations existing solution architecture, technology portfolio and make recommendations for improvements and/or alternatives. 
• Review new and existing solutions design projects, procurement or outsourcing plans, for compliance with standards and architectural plans. 
• Interface and coordinate tasks with internal and external technical resources. 
• Collaborate with Project Managers, vendors and IT stakeholders to provision estimates and develop overall implementation plans for installation, customisation and integration efforts. 
• Provide expertise to support the translation of system requirements into software design documentation. 
• Provide quality assurance for services within the solution area especially in a services and partner ecosystem. 
• Confer with end-users or senior management to define high level business requirements for complex systems (including interfaces) and any infrastructure services. 
• Model business and systems processes based on findings through use case scenarios, workflow diagrams, and data models. 
• Develop, document, communicate, and oversee a policy for standardising technology and software as necessary. 
• Provide support, expertise and recommendations to the relevant Baptcare committee responsible for Architecture governance, such as Technology Review Committee  

About You

• You are passionate about progressing your career in Information Technology and will ideally bring the following:
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including a thorough understanding of how to interpret customer business needs and translate them into practical applications and operational solutions.
• Strong experience is Salesforce, Technology One, CRM, and platform operations
• An outstanding communicator and presenter who can articulate complex technology visions to create clarity for customers and be persistent in calling out strategic gaps.
• Experience working in a relevant industry is helpful, but not required.  Experience developing architecture blueprints, strategies, and roadmaps.
• Experience capturing Solution Architecture in an Agile setup and identifying future needs in a Cloud environment.
• Experienced at working in a geographically dispersed, team-oriented, collaborative and consultative environment. 
• Solid grounding in core enterprise applications with proven project delivery guiding solutions in line with architecture roadmap.
• Eight or more years of business experience in strategic and operations planning and/or business analysis or experience as an enterprise architecture consultant. 
• Eight or more years of experience in at least three disciplines, such as business, information, solution or technical architecture, application development, middleware, information analysis, database management or operations in a multitier environment. 
• TOGAF 9 or above certified
