Baptcare is a purpose driven and faith-based organisation working across Victoria, Tasmania and South Australia, providing residential and community care for older people and support to children, families, and people with disability, financially disadvantaged people and people seeking asylum.
This position provides Assessment and intervention to newly established Kinship Care placements expected to last longer than three months. The position works under the Kinship Model of care and focuses on placement preservation through the provision of assessments and interventions with children and carers who present with a wide range if complex issues.
A key focus of the role is to work in partnership with Child Protection and other support services, as well as children, young people, carers and birth families to provide a holistic trauma informed service using the Best Interests Case Practice Framework.
