The Role

Reporting to the Payroll Manager, the position will assist and contribute to process the Baptcare payroll and other payroll related activities, including but not limited to:

  • Calculation and processing of termination payments
  • Onboarding of new hires and staff movements
  • Ad hoc payroll adjustments
  • Overtime calculations
  • Payroll reporting and Reconciliation of General Ledger
  • Issue separation certificates, Centrelink Information and Statement of Service Letters upon request.

This is a permanent, part-time role and working in a hybrid/remote environment.

About you

Along with your expertise and in-depth knowledge of Payroll activities, you will have a supportive and strong customer service ethos and maintain high quality service standards for our internal/external stakeholders; be compliant in the maintenance of payroll procedures and ideally bring the following:

  • Minimum of 3+ years payroll experience
  • Understanding of Taxation, Superannuation and Workcover legislation; ability to interpret complex EBAs and Awards
  • Aurion v 11 payroll system (highly desirable)
  • Previous exposure to the health or aged care sectors
  • Advanced Microsoft Word and Excel skills
  • Able to analyses and resolve problems in an efficient and effective manner
  • Satisfactory police check or willingness to obtain
  • Current Influenza and COVID-19 vaccination or willingness to obtain before commencement
