About the role:

The chaplain will provide quality person-centred Chaplaincy/ Pastoral Care that meets the needs of our residents, clients and their families, staff and volunteers and is consistent with BaptistCare’s Purpose and Values. 

The position is a permanent part time role offering 24 hours per week supporting our residents and clients at BaptistCare Shalom Centre Aged Care Home (Macquarie Park).

The successful applicant will have:

• Tertiary qualifications in chaplaincy /pastoral care OR tertiary theological qualifications with a willingness to undertake chaplaincy / pastoral care specific training within the first 12 months of employment.
• Ability to demonstrate a high level of Christian spiritual maturity with a pastoral heart
• Active involvement in and recommendation from a local Christian Church
• Chaplaincy or pastoral care experience
• Current or willing to obtain WWCC and NDIS check
• Experience working in collaborative, multi-disciplinary settings
• Willingness to undergo a police check
