About the role:
The Practice Leader will offer on-the-ground’ support, professional guidance and development to Community Services & Housing employees that promotes BaptistCare’s values in all aspects of support of our clients. As a Practice Leader you will work alongside teams to promote good practice and support continuous improvement in service delivery that is in line with BaptistCare values.
This role will specialise in the development of Policy and Procedures, training, and implementation of quality service delivery in the expertise area of community development, social engagement and practical support for BaptistCare's Community Services and Housing stream across NSW.
About you:
To be considered, you will have:
- Degree in Social Work, Psychology, or relevant field
- Demonstrated experience (at least 5 years) in relevant field
- Clinical membership of relevant professional body (e.g. PACFA - Psychotherapy and Counsellors Association of Australia)
- Demonstrated experience in reviewing practice and / or auditing and identifying practice gaps and designing and implementing practice uplift strategies
- Proven ability to develop resources and facilitate workshops
- Experience in coaching and influencing without having, or using, decision making delegation
- Proven experience using client information systems, data systems and technology and proven ability to learn new programs and technology
- Demonstrate an understanding and appreciation of BaptistCare’s Christian identity and promote the organisation’s values through interactions at work
- Exceptional interpersonal, facilitation and conflict resolution skills
- Ability to apply technical knowledge and skills professionally and operate within accepted practices, styles & legal/ethical standards
- Ability to work autonomously and as a part of a high performing team
- Supervisory training, experience and ongoing learning plan related to providing supervision/coaching/mentoring
- Knowledge of the relevant sector, Legislation, Practice Standards, Government initiatives, and current research
- Knowledge of and the ability to engage with external stakeholders working in the relevant sector
- Willingness to undertake travel between BaptistCare locations
- Current driver’s license
- Current Working with Children Check
