About the role

BaptistCare Narralling Community is located in Sydney’s south-west, at Elderslie, close to public transport, shops, a major hospital and medical centres. Our modern social and affordable housing features 84 one-bedroom villas for seniors over 55, over 45 for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, and 38 two-bedroom townhouses for single-parent families.

Our team works together to provide secure, high-quality accommodation with integrated services that empower residents to live life their way.

As a Tailored Support Coordinator, you will provide effective assessment and planning to coordinate and support tenants and household members access to a range of individualised services to improve their wellbeing and achieve their goals in life.

The successful applicant will have:

  • Certificate IV – Social Work or Community Services
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience Social Housing, Community Services or related discipline
  • Demonstrated ability to facilitate the provision of effective and individualised support to achieve positive outcomes for tenants and household members
  • Experience working with high need, complex clients
  • High level negotiation skills and ability to liaise with key stakeholders
  • Competence in service assessment and documentation (including service planning)
  • Demonstrate an understanding and appreciation of BaptistCare’s Christian identity and promote the organisation’s values through interactions at work
  • Team player (cross functional team)
  • Good working knowledge of Work Health and Safety practice
  • Computer literate - intermediate to advanced MS Office and Outlook
  • Good written and oral communication skills
  • Tenacity, tolerance, empathy and patience with tenants and their needs
  • Flexible and willing to work between locations as required
  • Willing to take part in ongoing education
  • A Valid NSW Driver’s License 
  • NSW Working with Children Check for paid employment purposes
  • A current First Aid Certificate or willing to obtain
