The Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (Ahpra) works in partnership with 15 National Boards to implement the national regulatory scheme for health professionals. The purpose of health practitioner regulation is to protect the public by ensuring that only health practitioners who have the skills, qualifications and knowledge to provide safe care are registered.

This is a permanent, full time role and we are building a merit pool for future vacancies (up to 6mths) which may vary in length and status. This position can be located in any Ahpra location with a preference to Melbourne, working a hybrid arrangement.
The role of Executive Officer is to work within Ahpra management structures to provide high-level executive support, leadership and guidance to the relevant National Board and Ahpra.
The Executive Officer is responsible for facilitating the satisfactory delivery of the expected outcomes of the Health Profession Agreement between Ahpra and the National Board. The Executive Officer is also responsible for developing and managing key relationships with stakeholders both internally and externally and for maintaining the reputation and credibility of both Ahpra and the National Board.
Please note it is not an essential requirement to have experience in the profession.
You will be an experienced senior officer who has an excellent understanding of regulation in the public interest. You will showcase great leadership qualities, fostering a supportive and mentoring role to members of the team. Communication and strong interpersonal skills will be professional and collaborative as you manage and engage key stakeholders internally and externally in this role.
