The Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (Ahpra) works in partnership with 15 National Boards to implement the National Registration and Accreditation Scheme for Australia’s 800,000+ registered health practitioners.
Reporting to the Program Manager – Streamlined pathways (multi-profession), the Policy and Project Officer – Streamlined pathways (multi-profession) supports Ahpra in its regulatory work through progressing the implementation and delivery of policy and relevant projects relating to Kruk Review recommendations.
A key focus of the role is to support the review of registration pathways for non-medical Internationally Qualified Health Practitioners. This includes the development of new and revised streamlined pathways, registration standards, guidelines and relevant explanatory material. The role will ensure policy advice and guidance is consistent with current legislation, established approaches and agreed principles.
Ahpra requires all employees to comply with Ahpra policies, including our Flexible working policy.
This is a full time, fixed term (12 months, with possible extension) role, and whilst a preferred location is Melbourne, applications outside this jurisdiction are welcomed.
You will be looking forward to joining a collaborative team that is supportive, driven and solutions focused. You enjoy working autonomously – but understand that the team support is vital which ensures that not only are you supported, but you support your colleagues as needed.
While your project management skills are strong, it is your ability to conceptualise an array of information with concise and professional briefings and reports, that will be key to your success. When building strong working relationships with your stakeholders (internal and external) you consider multiple perspectives to determine the needs of the group – and then put these in to action.
Feedback is provided by our stakeholders – the ability to be agile and eager to take any information on board, facilitate conversations and be curious, opening minded and creative will see you build trust and credibility with them. You embody our values of Respect, Integrity, Collaboration and Achievement and see these values underpin your behaviours and interactions.
