The Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (Ahpra) works in partnership with 15 National Boards to implement the national regulatory scheme for health professionals. The purpose of health practitioner regulation is to protect the public by ensuring that only health practitioners who have the skills, qualifications and knowledge to provide safe care are registered.

This is a Full time, fixed term, opportunity to be based in Melbourne.
The Program Manager – Future Assessment Strategy is a pivotal leadership position reporting to the National Manager – Accreditation and Assessment. In this role you will lead and coordinate a comprehensive review of the assessment strategy for Internationally Qualified Nurses and Midwives (IQNM), with a focus on strengthening assessment processes, governance frameworks, and the candidate journey. The work may also expand to include other professions in due course. You will collaborate closely with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA) and other National Boards to implement key changes in this critical area of the healthcare sector.
To be successful in this role you will bring a unique combination of strong leadership, strategic thinking, and exceptional interpersonal skills. You will thrive in a collaborative environment and can engage effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders both internally and externally.
You are a clear communicator, capable of distilling information into actionable insights, ensuring that all stakeholders feel heard and valued. You attention to detail and focus on outcomes means you will drive projects.
You will have a genuine passion for improving healthcare systems and a deep commitment to deliver high quality impactful outcomes.
