The Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (Ahpra) works in partnership with 15 National Boards to implement the National Registration and Accreditation Scheme for Australia’s 900,000+  registered health practitioners.

We are seeking applications for a Project Support Officer to join our Strategy and Policy team.  The role will suit someone who thrives in a dynamic and fluid environment, where no day looks the same, who can manage competing priorities.

The role will provide confidential project and administrative support to the NSW State Manager as well as assisting with Strategy, Policy and Engagement projects as required. Some of the duties of the Project and Support Officer include conducting research, drafting correspondence and briefing notes, providing secretariat support including taking minutes, scheduling meetings, coordinating aspects of projects, and working collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to contribute to delivering projects.

This is a full time, fixed term position (6 months with possible extension)  located in our Sydney office. The Sydney office is a state-of-the-art office that is centrally located in the CBD.

When building strong working relationships with your stakeholders (internal and external) you consider multiple perspectives to determine the needs of the group – and then put these into action.

 In this role you will have:

  • 3-4 years’ experience in a similar project officer/administrative role.
  • Advanced skills in MS Office Suite.
  • Strong communication capability and articulation.
  • Proven advanced time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and ensure timely delivery.
  • High level of problem solving, critical thinking, ability to prioritise tasks and be solution-focused.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with various stakeholders and work collaboratively.
