Bali Animal Welfare Association (BAWA) is looking to expand our digital communications department to increase our capacity to release Bali's animals from suffering and inspire compassion in our communities to build a kinder, safer future. YOU can be part of this change.
We are looking to hire a team of dynamic, motivated, and passionate individuals to work together on BAWA's digital strategies, social media management, content creation, fundraising and advertising initiatives, and general communications in order to shed light on the situation faced by Bali's animals, tell BAWA's stories, reach and inspire more supporters, and ultimately save more lives.

There are multiple positions available that can be catered to the applicants specific skill set. Applicants do not necessarily need to fulfill all requirements listed but should be able to fill a combination of the responsibilities to supplement a team.

CONTENT CREATION

• Produce, edit, and publish emotive, engaging, and inspiring original, high-quality content for a variety of audiences and needs including graphics, video, and text for use on social media (Facebook, Instagram, X, etc), email newsletters/campaigns, website updates, social ads, and other communications.
• Liaise with other team members to source information/resources needed for content creation.
• Learn the organisation's voice in order to respond to social media messages and comments, engaging our audience and being a friendly and helpful resource for the community.

COMMUNICATIONS/DONOR RELATIONS

• Create, manage, and follow calendars for donor and funder communications.
• Be responsible for the timely and high-quality production and delivery of email updates, newsletters and reports to valued donors and funders.
• Assist the Founder and other departments with some general email communications including inquiries, media responses, collaborations, etc.

YOU ARE:

• Passionate about animal welfare and have a positive outlook and attitude
• Practical and thick-skinned; able to deal with confronting and at times upsetting content matter relating to animal rescue
• Understanding of cultural differences and animal welfare in a Bali context
• Self-motivated, resourceful, flexible and hard-working
• Able to take initiative to seek out information or resources to get the job done

YOU HAVE:

• 3 years of professional experience in communications, digital media, and/or social media management which may include content creation including graphics, video and copywriting and/or paid digital advertising.
• Native-level English language ability
• Strong writing skills and storytelling ability plus an ability to write in a variety of tones and styles
• Excellent time management skills and the ability to multitask and prioritise multiple projects
• Familiarity with Canva, Photoshop, video editing software, Mailchimp, and Facebook Ads Manager
• An understanding of SEO and other marketing strategies
• Attention to detail regarding organisation's branding, style, and voice
• Clear communication skills and an ability to receive feedback
