We are currently seeking a fixed term (12 month) part time (0.8) staff member to join our team based at Brimbank Learning Futures in Sunshine.

The role

Reporting to the Pathways and Employment Lead, we are seeking a Project Officer to work on the Pathways in Place Action Network. Pathways in Place is a placed based systems change approach to address and improve community outcomes with a focus on young people and accessing employment. This network involves various other community stakeholders working together on agreed actions. We are seeking someone who can bring their skills and experience for:

  • Design and deliver programs aimed at empowering individuals
  • Establish and maintain relationships with key internal and external stakeholders
  • Assist in the day to day operations of Brimbank Learning Futures
  • Plan, develop and deliver high quality programs, services and activities in response to community need and service gaps that focus on career pathways for young people and others to support improved social and economic outcomes.
  • Disseminate learning, resources, and other information through appropriate internal and external network channels.
  • Maintain records, write reports and manage and upload data.
  • Provide training, career information and advice to community members.
  • Attract new learners to Brimbank Learning Futures.

To be considered you will have:

  • A tertiary qualification in an area related to the position e.g. community development, education or relevant equivalent substantial experience.
  • Community development, training or learning design experience.
  • Experience in providing career and learning pathway advice, training or programs.
  • Lived experience of the diverse communities in Brimbank.
  • Experience in working in a multicultural environment.
