- This part-time position is minimum12 hours per week (flexible hours between 6am to 8pm Monday to Sunday).

Key Responsibilities include:
- Collaborating closely with Centre staff, existing volunteers and community advocates to develop and maintain a strong rapport and database of volunteer jobs, projects and requirements to support day-to-day operations and specialist events.
- Sourcing volunteers, conducting interviews and managing relevant background checks(eg Bluecard) as required.
- Developing & implementing an induction & orientation program for volunteers & coordinating any necessary ongoing training.
- Maintaining and managing a comprehensive volunteer database, ensuring accurate records of volunteer availability and attendance.
- Ensuring strict compliance with relevant legislation and regulations pertaining to volunteer engagement and management.
- Acting as the key point of contact for volunteers, providing ongoing support and guidance to volunteers throughout their engagement.
- Develop materials to attract volunteers and provide information regarding volunteering.
The following experience, skills and attributes are important to success in this role:
- 2-3 years’ + experience in coordinating volunteers, ideally within community services.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Collaborative and team-oriented approach and ability to effectively interact with volunteers, staff, and external stakeholders.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Intermediate to advanced MS Suite (Word, Excel, Teams and Outlook).
- Interpersonal skills to build positive relationships with volunteers and foster a supportive and inclusive volunteer community.
- Flexibility and adaptability to accommodate and support the diverse availability and preferences of volunteers.
- Proactive and self-driven and capable of taking initiative.
In addition, you will possess:
- A passion for volunteerism and a genuine interest in making a positive impact in the community.
- Current driver’s license and own car transportation.
- Current Bluecard (or ability to obtain)
