About the role

As an Early Childhood Teacher you will work towards the achievement of our big vision that is to create inclusive, connected communities within the Capital Region by providing a high standard of education and care that reflects the Principles and Practices of the Early Years Learning Framework.

As part of CRCS you will become an integral part of our People-Centred delivery to our community of families and children. As the Educational Leader you will be called upon to show leadership and support to the Director as you contribute to achieving excellence in Education. Your creativity and willingness to generate ideas and innovation will be highly regarded as well your expertise in programming, assessment and review of high quality and diverse educational programs. The ability to multi skill and work collaboratively will enhance the flexible and adaptable work environment we seek to provide. You will champion healthy food, exercise and be a positive role model towards learning in the way you maintain your own skills and career development.

To be considered for this meaningful and important role you will be actively studying towards or have already obtained an Early Childhood Teaching Degree, or general primary or high school teaching degree and are willing to or are already studying towards Cert III in Early Education and Care. Also essential is Current First Aid, Anaphylaxis management training and current approved emergency asthma management training. You will also have examples of how you have shown your ability to develop strong and sustained relationships with children, high level awareness of rights of the child and proven ability to provide supervision and to coach other educators.

CRCS also requires all workers to:

  • Hold or be willing to obtain a satisfactory Working with Vulnerable People registration (ACT) and/or a Working with Children Check (NSW), and have these with them at all times whilst employed by CRCS.
  • Undertake a National Criminal History Clearance by CRCS prior to commencing and every three years thereafter as a condition of employment. Employees are required to advise CRCS of any convictions that may effect their eligibility to work or perform the inherent requirements of their position.
  • Maintain full COVID-19 vaccination currency and provide evidence of their vaccinations to CRCS (sensitive information is kept private and in accordance with the Australian Privacy Principles) unless they are able to provide suitable evidence of a medical contraindication that prevents them from receiving this vaccine.
