Beaumont People are excited to be partnering with Wentworth Healthcare; a leading not-for-profit community services organisation who have been providing quality health services since its inception a decade ago. Wentworth Healthcare is the provider of the Nepean Blue Mountains Primary Health Network.

Wentworth Healthcare works to improve health for the communities of Blue Mountains, Hawkesbury, Lithgow and Penrith. They work by supporting general practice, funding (or commissioning) local health services, and integrating care from the local health system.

About the role

The Contracts Officer is an exciting role, which will see you manage the commissioning and contracting arrangements of mental health, alcohol and other drugs and community recovery services in the community. You will also:

  • Work closely with commissioned service providers who deliver care, services, programs and activities.
  • Work closely with the mental health and AOD team and managers to contribute to the strategic planning process, and program design and make recommendations for future commissioning.
  • Provide contract management and performance monitoring to ensure that providers are delivering results outlined on various contracts.,
  • Identify and assess any requirements of service outside the original project scope.
  • Liaise with a variety of community members and service providers.

A bit about you

To succeed in the role, you will be a confident contracts officer. You will also have:

  • An understanding of the community sector, with an active interest in the healthcare space.
  • Demonstrated experience with contract management, commissioning and/or project management.
  • The ability to integrate multiple projects whilst considering risk, mitigation and prioritisation.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Fantastic organisational and time-management skills and proficiency in MS Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Tertiary qualification in health, Management or similar is highly desirable.
  • A current National Police Check (or willingness to undertake).

  • Competitive remuneration package - This role pays a base salary of $74,689 - $88,706, but with NFP salary packaging this could increase to $84,406 and $98,477 + superannuation.
