Beaumont People are partnering with a VIC based not-for-profit organisation who empower rural and regional communities across Australia. They are currently seeking a Temporary Finance and Operations Manager to step in immediately.

The Role - Temporary Finance and Operations Manager

  • Supporting and providing oversight of quality and delivery of audit requirements (primarily revenue recognition and testing)
  • Providing monthly/Q financial reports, analysis and preparing seasonal forecasting
  • Supporting the leadership team with portfolio and program budget analysis and forecasting
  • Supervision of the outsourced bookkeeper for accounts receivable and payable and liaison as required with Lead Advisory on monthly reconciliations
  • Payroll
  • Supervision of the Information Management Officer (IT) with day-to-day support, coaching and guidance
  • Supporting general operations such as reviewing lease agreements, monitoring risk and compliance, providing advice to the leadership team on HR matters such as travel allowances, SCHADS Award etc, reviewing and making recommendations on finance policies and procedures.
  • Preparing the finance & audit committee reports and finance and corporate services reports for board meetings.

We are seeking candidates who meet the following criteria:

  • Experience in an operations / finance management role.
  • Experience with NFP funding and/or divisional accounting in a complex program budgeting environment.
  • Experience working with the SCHADS Award.
  • Membership of CA, CPA, or IPA (an MBA is desirable).
  • High-level corporate negotiation skills.
  • Excellent business software skills and collaborative leadership approach.
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities, capable of producing high-quality material for diverse audiences.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and the capacity to work autonomously.
  • Able to commence immediately or within 1 week.
